Customers of Kotak Bank can use Internet banking and mobile banking to manage their accounts from anywhere using their phone or computer.
Adding/updating nominees in the account is one of these services. In this post, we’ll show you how to add a nominee to your Kotak Bank account without having to visit a branch.
Requirements for adding/updating nominees at Kotak Bank.
- Kotak CRN or Kotak Netbanking Username
- Password for Kotak Netbanking
- PIN for the Kotak 811 mobile app.
- To get OTP through SMS, you must have your registered cellphone number with you and it must be active.
How to add a nominee to your Kotak Bank account through the Kotak 811 mobile app.
Step 1: Download the Kotak 811 mobile app and register it on your smartphone (Apple or Android phone).
Step 2: Open the app and go to the bottom menu and select Service Request.
Step 3: From the new page, select the Profile option.
Step 4: On the new page, select the Nominee Update option
Step5: To authenticate, enter the six-digit App MPIN.
Step6: Select Account Type as Savings/Current Account OR Fixed Deposit Account on the new screen, and then enter the Account Number.
Step7: If the nomination has already been registered, the name of the nominee will appear on the screen.
Step8: Select the New Nominee option on the same page to add a new nominee Kotak Bank account. To proceed to the next phase, press the ‘Proceed’ button.
Step9: Enter the Nominee’s name, address, and relationship to the Account Holder. To continue, click the Submit button.
Step 10: Your registered cellphone number will now receive an OTP. Press the Confirm Button after entering the OTP in the appropriate field.
Step 11: You’re done; your new nominee will be added to your account soon.
How can I add a nominee to my Kotak Internet Banking account?
Step1: Go to https://www.kotak.com/ on your PC or smartphone browser.
Step2: Click the Login button and input your CRN/Username and Password.
Step 3: Also, enter the one-time password (OTP) that was sent to your registered mobile number.
Step4: From the left menu, select Service Request after logging in to your account.
Step5: From the new page that appears on the screen, select Nominee Update.
Step6: On the new screen, choose Account Type, Account Number from the drop-down menu, and ‘New Nominee‘ to add a new nominee to your Kotak bank account. Select ‘Proceed’ from the drop-down menu.
Step7: On the new page, fill out the Nominee’s name, age, address, and relationship to you (the account holder), then accept the terms and conditions.
Step8: Your registered cellphone number will now receive an OTP. On the screen, enter this OTP and click the Confirm button. Done In a few moments, your Nominee will be added to your account.
